About the Role
The post holder will join a small client monitoring team responsible for overseeing the service delivery and performance of the joint street lighting PFI contract between Croydon and Lewisham Councils. This important role primarily involves carrying out duties in the borough of Lewisham, with some works in Croydon. You will support the street lighting manager in monitoring the PFI contract by using monitoring systems to assess the Service Provider’s performance against specific standards, ensuring effective delivery of the contract. Responsibilities include producing management reports on performance, quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness of the service, as well as raising small works schemes upon instructions from Lewisham Officers, including obtaining quotations and final measurements from the service provider in line with Schedule 16 Rates.

Experience
At least 10 years’ relevant experience in Street Lighting or a related Civil Engineering background. Knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and Traffic Management Act (TMA). Experience using street lighting management information systems.

About You
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Local knowledge of both Lewisham and Croydon areas. Hold a clean driving licence. Willingness to occasionally attend meetings outside normal working hours.
