About the Service and Team
Sutton Housing Partnership (SHP) is an innovative, not-for-profit housing organisation working in partnership with Sutton Council and its residents. We manage over 6,000 council properties and more than 1,500 leasehold properties in Sutton. SHP was awarded the highest possible rating of C1 by the Social Housing Regulator in October 2025 and is fully compliant with all standards.
About the Role
We are seeking two qualified Supervisors with strong management and leadership skills to lead a team of operational trade staff, ensuring responsive repairs are delivered to a high standard. You will manage performance, monitor compliance and quality assurance, and ensure the best outcomes for customers and the team. Key responsibilities include managing repair operatives, conducting inspections on building repairs and defects related to building fabric, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems, and carrying out surveys to resolve complaints. You will also oversee void property inspections from start to finish, ensuring quality and timely delivery, issuing remedial snag lists where necessary, and producing scopes of work for escalated repair cases.
Experience
- Demonstrable experience within the building or construction industry.
- Proven management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, pressurised environment.
- Experience in diagnosing repairs effectively and providing solutions.
- Ability to drive and use NEC scheduling systems.

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in a building trade.
- Level 4 and/or CIH Level 4 in Planned Maintenance is desirable.
