Support Mentor
Location
Face to face service based in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), a short walk from Ladbroke Grove (Circle and Hammersmith) station. Please note this service does not have step free access.
Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rota between 09:00 - 17:00 and 13:00 - 21:00. Evening and bank holiday work may be required as needed.
Salary
£27,000 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Mentor to join our team in RBKC to support residents with multiple and complex needs including mental health, substance use, homelessness, and offending backgrounds. You will provide person-centred support to help residents overcome personal barriers and achieve their goals. Working within a residential setting, you will help create a safe and comfortable home environment for residents during their stay. Key responsibilities include supporting residents with daily tasks, holding a caseload and conducting personalised key work sessions, carrying out welfare, safeguarding and living checks, encouraging participation in activities and events, maintaining up-to-date support plans, collaborating with the team to ensure excellent service delivery, and providing general housing management support.
Experience
Experience working with people from complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector, particularly relating to multiple and complex needs.
