About the Role
Ending Homelessness in Enfield is our mission. Our homelessness service focuses on prevention, reducing temporary accommodation, and ending street homelessness. We are seeking proactive, outcome-focused individuals to join our Street Homelessness Service, which aims to end rough sleeping in Enfield. The Sustainable Housing Support Worker will work within the Street Homelessness Accommodation Team, providing housing-related support services to former rough sleepers across various supported housing projects, including Housing First, Dispersed, and Shared Accommodation. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, proactive, collaborative, and highly motivated, ready for a new challenge. Strong communication and creative problem-solving skills are essential, along with the drive to help vulnerable individuals live independent and fulfilling lives. You must be willing to work outside of office hours occasionally, work independently, and possess good knowledge of welfare, housing, and homelessness practices. A solid understanding of safeguarding practices for vulnerable households is also required, as well as the ability to empower tenants to maintain their tenancies and engage with support services.
Experience
Experience in housing support or related fields is desirable, but a strong commitment to helping vulnerable individuals is essential.
