About the Role
As a member of the Assurance and Compliance team within the Housing Needs Temporary Accommodation Service, you will lead a team responsible for managing contracts with temporary accommodation providers and ensuring services meet contractual, legislative, and quality standards. You will oversee performance, compliance, inspections, and complaints, and deputise for the Contract and Compliance Manager when required. Key responsibilities include leading and managing a team of 10 officers, contract managing temporary accommodation suppliers, carrying out and overseeing property inspections and compliance checks, validating health and safety certification (gas, electrical, EPC, fire safety), investigating property condition complaints including disrepair, monitoring performance and producing reports for senior stakeholders, and engaging with residents, managing agents, councillors, and partners.

Experience
Strong experience in housing, contract management, and compliance, ideally within a local authority or similar environment. Proven experience in inspections, supplier management, and performance monitoring.
