About the Role
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a dedicated Team Manager - Corporate Parenting to lead and supervise Pod Leaders within teams of Social Workers, Senior Practitioners, and other social care staff. You will provide a high quality, cost effective, and efficient social work service to children in need, including those requiring protection, children looked after, and children subject to public or private care proceedings as directed by the court.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring service delivery aligns with agreed strategic, operational, and financial priorities, complies with statutory responsibilities, policies, and procedures, and meets key performance targets relevant to your team. This role is pivotal in supporting vulnerable children and families through effective leadership and management within the corporate parenting framework.

Requirements

Experience
- Minimum of four years post-qualifying experience in social work, including management and supervision of social care staff undertaking statutory work with children and families, preferably in a fieldwork setting.
- Knowledge of regulatory and inspection frameworks governing children’s services.
- Experience providing professional supervision, team building, reflective learning, and development.

Qualifications
- Recognised professional Social Work qualification (e.g., CQSW or Dip SW).
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a social work professional.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, or possesses relevant work experience.
- Satisfactory enhanced DBS check and active Social Work England membership required.
