About the Role
Are you looking for your next exciting adventure in social work? Bromley Children’s Social Care has recently been awarded an Ofsted rating of “outstanding”. We are seeking a highly talented and ambitious registered Team Manager to join our Safeguarding and Care Planning West Team on our journey to excellence.
The Safeguarding and Care Planning Service works in partnership with agencies such as Police, Health, and Education to ensure children grow up with the best life chances and receive safe and consistent care. The team operates on the principle that children should be raised within their families wherever it is safe to do so. We support families who struggle to consistently meet their children’s needs, working with children subject to Child in Need Plans, Child Protection Plans, and a smaller cohort of Children Looked After who are in care proceedings.
Our service consists of 12 Safeguarding Teams across the borough, with 6 teams in the East and 6 in the West. You will join an ambitious service with strong leadership and clear lines of support.
As part of the Bromley Promise, you will benefit from a dedicated two-week induction programme and a supportive environment focused on manageable caseloads, reflective supervision, generous annual leave including additional days, small cluster teams, excellent learning and development opportunities, and easy access to leadership.
We are confident that with your passion, dedication, and skills, we will continue to provide high quality social care services to children in Bromley as outlined in our improvement and transformation plan.
Experience
Applicants must be a registered social worker with relevant experience in safeguarding and care planning. Experience managing social work teams and working collaboratively with partner agencies is essential.
About you
You will be passionate, dedicated, and motivated to improve outcomes for children and families. You should have strong leadership skills, the ability to manage manageable caseloads effectively, and a commitment to reflective supervision and professional development. You will thrive in a supportive, ambitious environment and be committed to the values of Bromley Children’s Social Care.
