About the Role
MUSIC·TEAM, part of THE·TEAM, is a leading global agency representing prominent artists across all genres for live performance, touring, brand partnerships, and beyond. We are seeking a Tour Accountant to join our team, responsible for settling the financial aspects of our clients' tours. This role involves confirming the accuracy of all settlement details including compensation, withholding tax, and deductions, while acting as the liaison between agents, clients, and clients’ business managers to ensure timely and accurate tour settlements.
Key responsibilities include reviewing settlement details to confirm full artist compensation, processing refunds for cancellations, verifying deductions and withholding tax, calculating THE·TEAM’s liability for non-resident withholding tax, and charging back applicable expenses. You will prepare and manage tour statements from initial drafts through approvals, resolve discrepancies, submit final statements, and collect funds due to THE·TEAM. Additionally, you will provide financial analysis for artist advances and loans, oversee disbursement and repayment, and manage the work of the Client Accountant, Assistant Client Accountant, and Accounts Administrators. Training and supporting team members to develop their skills is also a vital part of this role.
