About the Role
Join us in shaping the future of adult education in the community! We are seeking two Sessional Tutors to join the City of London Corporation’s Adult Education Service. The roles available are Teaching & Learning Assistant tutor and Domestic Energy Assessor tutor. You will provide high-quality teaching and support to adult learners within a community setting, responsible for planning, delivering, assessing, and supporting learner progression to ensure an engaging and personalised learning experience.

Key responsibilities include delivering dynamic lessons, conducting assessments and progress reviews, accurately managing course materials via the Adult Skills and Education Service platforms, marking and providing feedback on learner work, preparing learners for examinations where applicable, liaising with colleagues to support learner progression, and contributing to course and curriculum development using innovative teaching methods including e-learning.

Experience
Relevant experience in adult teaching and support roles, with expertise in your teaching specialism. Experience working with adult learners from diverse educational backgrounds is essential.

About you
A passionate educator committed to adult learning, with strong communication skills (written and oral), proficiency in IT and digital learning platforms, and the ability to assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback. You are a creative problem solver, innovative in teaching approaches, and able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Qualifications
Teaching qualification in Further Education, Adult, Vocational or Community education. This post requires an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check with adult’s barred list as it is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
