Full Time, Permanent - 40 hours per week
Working a fixed weekly roster including weekends. Five-day week patterns: Monday and Thursday to Sunday or Monday, Tuesday and Friday to Sunday. Four-day week patterns: Monday and Friday to Sunday or Thursday to Sunday.
Usual hours 9:15-18:00 with some shifts 09:00-17:45.

£36,697 - £40,308 per annum

About the Role
Tower Bridge is part of City Bridge Foundation, a 900-year-old historic charity of which the City of London Corporation is Trustee. The Foundation maintains and supports five of London’s most iconic Thames bridges and awards funding to charitable organisations tackling inequality and injustice across London.

As a Welcome Host at Tower Bridge, you will deliver a unique and memorable experience to visitors from around the world. You will work across various environments including the fast-paced Ticket Office and Gift Shop, the Towers and Walkways, passenger lifts, and the famous glass floors. You will also manage queues and engage with the public outdoors in all weather conditions.

Welcome Hosts are responsible for the safe evacuation and security lockdown of visitors and colleagues during emergencies, which may involve ascending or descending up to 206 steps. This role requires adaptability, responsiveness, and effective teamwork to ensure every visitor receives outstanding customer service.

The ideal candidate enjoys customer-facing roles, delivering speeches and guided tours to large groups, and contributes positively to the wider team. Shift patterns are available for both full-time (five days, 40 hours) and part-time (four days, 32 hours) working, with contracted weekend days required. Available 5-day shifts are Thursday to Monday or Wednesday to Sunday. Available 4-day shifts are Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday.

Experience
Experience in customer service or visitor engagement is desirable but not essential. Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic, public-facing environment is required.

You are comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and able to manage physical aspects of the role including emergency evacuation procedures involving stair use.
