About the Role
The City of London’s Housing Service is committed to maintaining high standards across its housing estates. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Compliance and Quality Assurance Lead to oversee the delivery of compliance and service standards inspections, ensuring our estates remain safe, secure, and well managed.

You will lead and support a team of two Compliance and Quality Assurance Officers, coordinating the inspection programme across all estates and ensuring inspections are completed thoroughly, accurately, and within required timescales. Responsibilities include allocating work, balancing competing priorities, providing training and coaching, and quality assuring inspection reports before issuance.

In addition to leadership duties, you will carry out estate and block inspections within an allocated area and provide support across other areas as needed. You will produce clear reports, raise and assign actions related to service standards, fire safety, hazards, antisocial behaviour, and housing management, and monitor performance against agreed key performance indicators. You will identify emerging issues, coordinate corrective actions, and promptly refer safeguarding or resident welfare concerns to the appropriate teams.

This role is fixed term for 2 years and workplace based, involving regular work across housing estates including extended periods of walking. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires a Basic Disclosure & Barring Service check.

Experience
Substantial experience managing or supervising staff in social housing, local government, or a similar environment. Proven knowledge of estate services legislation and requirements including health and safety, fire safety in communal areas, and COSHH. Experience with risk management, risk assessments, and thorough estate inspections is essential.

Qualifications
A relevant qualification such as BICSc, IOSH, CIH, or substantial equivalent professional experience is required.
