£39,410 - £43,620 per annum inclusive of London Weighting

About the Role
The City of London Corporation is seeking a Compliance and Quality Assurance Officer to maintain high standards across its housing estates. This key operational role supports safe, consistent, and high-quality estate services through effective inspections, accurate reporting, and timely follow-up of identified issues. Working under the guidance of the Compliance and Quality Assurance Lead, you will carry out scheduled inspections of estates and blocks, monitor compliance with service standards, and support activities related to fire safety, block security, health and safety, and quality assurance. You will produce clear inspection reports, raise and assign actions, escalate concerns, and contribute to audits, investigations, external inspections, and continuous service improvement. The role involves long periods of walking across housing estates and requires a practical, flexible approach with sound judgement and a commitment to resident welfare, equality, safety, and continuous improvement. This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 2 years, workplace based at the William Blake Estate.

Experience
Proven experience undertaking thorough estate inspections, managing risks, and completing risk assessments. Knowledge of legislation and regulations relevant to estate services, including health and safety, fire safety in communal areas, and COSHH.

Organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent customer care and interpersonal skills. Confidence using digital systems, Microsoft Excel, and mobile technology. Practical and flexible with sound judgement and a commitment to resident welfare, equality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
A relevant qualification such as BICS, IOSH, or CIH, or substantial equivalent professional experience is required. The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and requires a Basic Disclosure & Barring Service check.
