About the Role
The City Remembrancer’s Office is responsible for organising events at the historic Guildhall in the heart of the Square Mile. The team delivers a remarkable range of events annually, including lectures by political and business leaders, commemorations of notable anniversaries, and banquets for visiting Heads of State. We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised events professional with excellent communication and planning skills to join our high performing events team.
The main duties include the end-to-end management and detailed organisation of City Corporation hospitality events, aimed at furthering the City’s objectives. This involves liaising with City Corporation Members and staff, Government Departments and agencies, as well as numerous contractors and suppliers.
This role offers the opportunity to be involved in some of the most prestigious national events and to make a vital contribution to their successful delivery. The post requires dedication, reliability, discretion, and the ability to prioritise a diverse and heavy workload while working flexibly. High quality written and oral communication skills, strong teamwork, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy are essential.

Experience
Previous event management experience is essential. Experience working with high-profile or formal events is highly desirable.
