About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest teaching hospitals in the UK, working in partnership with King’s College London to deliver high quality undergraduate medical education across Guy’s Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital. Hosting over 800 students annually from the MBBS programme, the Undergraduate team is seeking a Band 5 Simulation Technician/Administrator to support the delivery of Simulation and Interactive Learning sessions.

In this role, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient service delivery of simulation activities, working closely with Undergraduate Coordinators, medical, nursing, and clerical staff. You will support the general running of the service, act as a point of contact for centre clients, and manage the logistical aspects of day-to-day event delivery.

Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust comprises five renowned hospitals including Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Royal Brompton and Harefield, and community services in Lambeth and Southwark. The Trust is known for clinical excellence, research, and innovation, and is part of King’s Health Partners, one of England’s eight academic health sciences centres.

Requirements

Experience
- Significant contribution to meeting operational objectives
- Experience delivering administrative and clerical services
- Desirable: Experience working in an educational setting

About you
- Highly motivated with the ability to prioritise workload, multitask, and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to analyse problems and develop practical, workable solutions independently and lead others to solve problems
- Working knowledge of audio-visual and high fidelity simulation equipment
- Desirable: Basic engineering skills and ability to perform basic equipment repairs

Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Demonstrated continuous professional and management development
