About the Role
Discover yourself in Lewisham where what you do makes a difference to vibrant and culturally diverse communities. Lewisham is proud to be the UK’s first Borough of Sanctuary, championing the rights of refugees and migrants.

As a Youth Justice Practitioner within Lewisham’s Integrated Adolescent Service, you will work directly with children involved in, or at risk of entering, the criminal justice system. You will support those affected by exploitation, trauma, extra-familial harm and other complex challenges.

In this case-holding role, you will undertake assessments, develop intervention and safety plans, manage risk and safeguarding concerns, coordinate multi-agency responses, and deliver evidence-based interventions that help children reduce offending, improve wellbeing and achieve positive outcomes. You will also contribute to court and panel processes through high-quality report writing, professional judgement and effective partnership working.

The service is committed to TRACES practice – Trauma-informed, Relational, Anti-racist, Contextual, Equity-focused and Systemic. You will join a supportive, ambitious and forward-thinking team that values innovation, professional curiosity and relationship-based practice. The role offers excellent training and development opportunities alongside a range of benefits including generous holiday allowance, Local Government Pension scheme, flexible working and family friendly policies, season ticket and bicycle loans, staff discounts and supportive staff networks.

If you are committed to empowering children, amplifying their voices and delivering high-quality youth justice practice that transforms lives, this is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference every day.
