About the Role
We are seeking Academic Tutors in Maths and English to support our students on a casual basis at Harris Academy Wimbledon. This new co-educational school, located in the High Path area, opened its new building in November 2020 as part of the area's regeneration. The academy promotes high academic achievement across a rich and personalised curriculum, alongside a wide range of extra-curricular activities that foster aspiration, resilience, and joy in learning. Tutors will prepare and deliver in-person lessons in small groups of no more than three students, supporting catch-up learning tailored to individual educational needs. Responsibilities include liaising with Subject Leads to determine curriculum modules, setting and marking assessments, providing comprehensive written feedback, and maintaining records of attendance, progress, and attainment. Tutors contribute to ensuring a high-quality learning experience that meets internal and external standards. Professional learning and development are central to the academy’s culture, which values resilience, self-esteem, and effective teamwork as part of its pastoral provision.

About you
You should be committed to supporting students’ academic progress and able to work collaboratively with Subject Leads. Enthusiasm for education and a growth mindset are essential, alongside the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
