About the Role
We are seeking an Activity Coordinator with a passion for delivering excellent care to develop, plan and implement activities for patients at Cygnet Hospital Harrow. The hospital provides a recovery-focused service treating a wide range of mental health problems, including specialist diagnostic, assessment, and inpatient services for individuals with mental health needs and dual diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

As an Activity Coordinator, you will coordinate, design, and deliver a co-produced, personalised activity programme that is occupationally balanced, risk-assessed, and fully resourced. Your role will ensure all individuals have the opportunity and encouragement to engage in at least 25 hours of meaningful activity each week across various service lines within the hospital.

You will promote the hospital’s good reputation by maintaining a positive attitude towards patients, their families, staff, visitors, and key stakeholders. You will plan and facilitate activities that promote patient well-being, social engagement, and meaningful participation. Supporting patients to create independent and focused activity plans based on their interests and goals will be key, helping to build on their strengths and improve motivation and engagement.

Your work will align with the Recovery Model and Cygnet Values, involving co-producing and implementing activity programmes, preparing and maintaining appropriate materials and resources. You will also accompany patients to off-site community activities as required and be able to drive hospital vehicles. Collaboration with other hospital departments will ensure patients can access all elements of their treatment.

About you
Passionate about delivering excellent care and promoting patient well-being. Able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and maintain a positive, professional attitude. Willingness to support patients in engaging with meaningful activities and community involvement. Ability to drive hospital vehicles and accompany patients off-site is required.
