About the Role
We are seeking a confident Night Unit Coordinator (RMN/RNLD) to inspire, support and oversee the delivery of exceptional care at Cygnet Hospital Harrow. You will work night shifts, ensuring the smooth running of the ward in the absence of the Ward Manager by coordinating staff and overseeing ward operations. Cygnet Hospital Harrow provides a recovery-focused service treating a wide range of mental health problems, including specialist diagnostic, assessment and inpatient services for individuals with mental health needs and dual diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. Our acute inpatient psychiatric services offer assessment, diagnosis and treatment for individuals with diverse psychological and emotional problems, including those detained under the Mental Health Act.

Key responsibilities include supervising shift operations, acting as a role model to maintain a motivated workforce, identifying and resolving complex clinical and non-clinical issues, participating in clinical audits, coordinating hospital tasks efficiently, providing advanced clinical support and advice to on-call doctors and multidisciplinary teams, working autonomously while managing routine activities and emergencies, and ensuring compliance with Cygnet policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care.

Requirements

Experience
Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to manage compliance and governance responsibilities effectively.

About you
You are confident, motivated and able to work autonomously while managing routine activities and responding to emergencies. You demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and support a positive workforce.

Qualifications
Must be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD).
