About the Role
We are seeking a confident Night Unit Coordinator (RMN/RNLD) to inspire, support and oversee the delivery of exceptional care at Cygnet Hospital Harrow. You will work night shifts, supervising the smooth running of the ward and taking leadership responsibility in the absence of the Ward Manager. This includes staff coordination and overseeing ward operations to maintain a motivated and positive workforce.
Cygnet Hospital Harrow provides a recovery-focused service treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including specialist diagnostic, assessment and inpatient services for individuals with mental health needs and dual diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. Our acute inpatient psychiatric services offer assessment, diagnosis and treatment for individuals with diverse psychological and emotional problems, including those detained under the Mental Health Act.
Key responsibilities include identifying and assessing complex clinical and non-clinical issues, implementing resolutions and monitoring outcomes, coordinating hospital tasks to ensure timely and efficient completion, providing professional and advanced clinical support and advice to on-call doctors, nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams, and working autonomously to manage routine activities and respond to emergencies with appropriate escalation.
You will also take an active role in clinical audits and ensure compliance with Cygnet policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care across the hospital.

Experience
Strong leadership and management skills are essential. Experience managing compliance or governance responsibilities is required.

You must be confident in supervising clinical teams and managing ward operations independently during night shifts. You should be proactive, able to respond effectively to emergencies, and committed to maintaining high standards of care and compliance.
Qualifications
Applicants must be a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD).
