The Allocator role is responsible for executing and communicating allocation strategies for a specific product area to optimise inventory levels and maximise sales. Key responsibilities include contributing to the establishment and enhancement of the A&R system within the Allocation function, producing size profiling in partnership with Merchandising to maximise sales and inventory turns, and generating standard and ad hoc reports to support seasonal buying decisions.
In-season management involves driving the product area to maximise sales, inventory, and stock turn at the combination level, producing weekly analysis and capacity reports, implementing store feedback, and coordinating monthly floorset launches in line with allocation strategy. The role also manages the consolidation process to ensure timely removal of instructed product from stores and coordinates new store packages according to merchant ranging and store delivery requests.
The Allocator develops strong relationships with key stakeholders including Merchants, Planners, Operations, Logistics, Regional Directors, and Store Managers, acting as the key point of contact for the product category and promoting the allocation function across teams. Supporting the Merchandising Manager, the role fosters cross-allocation communication and collaboration to achieve strategic goals.
Experience
Strong analytical skills with confidence working with data and Excel. Experience in fashion, luxury, or merchandising environments is highly desirable.
