About the Role
At Burberry, creativity opens spaces. As a Store Designer within the Architecture Design Studio, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our global retail portfolio by conceptualising and designing experiential luxury retail environments that embody our brand vision. This role combines high-level creative output with detailed architectural design, covering facades, store layouts, furniture, fixtures, finishes, and experiential spaces. You will lead flagship and complex retail design projects, driving concept creation, spatial strategy, and experiential innovation across multiple regions and store formats.
You will develop and present highly creative design ideas using sketches, renders, and 3D models, progressing design work independently with minimal oversight. Producing comprehensive detailed design drawing packs including facades, layouts, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, and site-specific construction details will be essential to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and brand alignment. You will conduct design research and trend analysis to translate insights into elevated retail experiences and commercially relevant opportunities.
Managing external studios and specialist consultants, overseeing detailed design packs and technical deliverables, and sourcing innovative materials and techniques to push creative boundaries while maintaining practicality and longevity are key responsibilities. The role demands strong creative thinking, technical proficiency in Vectorworks and 3D modelling software, excellent visual storytelling, and presentation skills to communicate ideas effectively to senior leadership and cross-functional teams. You will also mentor junior designers and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced luxury retail environment.
Burberry is a purposeful, values-driven brand committed to sustainable luxury, industry change, and championing communities. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-performance design culture within a globally recognised luxury brand.
