About the Role
Do you want to be at the heart of shaping the future of Housing Applications and Products? Join Islington’s Digital Services team and play a key role in our digital transformation.
As an Applications Analyst within the DAP-Housing team, you will deliver a quality service for our customers and support a wide variety of projects that provide value across Islington Council.
You will provide application support on major NEC applications such as Housing (across its extensive modules), Document Management (Enterprise), and other third-party systems used by Homes & Neighbourhood staff.
This role requires effective collaboration with suppliers and partners and the ability to thrive within a busy support team to provide technical assistance.
Main duties include:
- Collaborating with software vendors to understand product road-maps, upgrades, and patches
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams to deploy, upgrade, and configure software applications
- Developing implementation plans, performing system testing, and ensuring successful roll-outs of new applications
- Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support to user enquiries and troubleshooting for Housing applications
- Collaborating with developers and system administrators to integrate applications with other software systems and databases
- Analysing application data and generating reports to support decision-making processes
- Staying updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to software applications

Experience
Experience in application support or a similar technical role is desirable. Ability to collaborate effectively with software vendors and internal teams is essential.

Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in IT, software development, or related fields are advantageous but not mandatory. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
