About the Role
Are you passionate about helping people live independently, achieve their goals, and maintain their quality of life? Do you want to use your specialist skills to make a real difference in the lives of adults with sensory impairments? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Rehabilitation Officer (Deafblind Specialist) to join our Adult Social Care team in Islington. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with residents, supporting them to develop practical skills, overcome barriers, and maximise their independence both at home and within their local community.

In this role, you will work with adults who have sensory impairments, carrying out specialist assessments and delivering tailored rehabilitation programmes. You will support people to develop confidence in daily living activities, mobility, communication, and access to their environment. Working closely with colleagues across health, social care, housing, and voluntary sector organisations, you will help ensure residents receive coordinated support that enables them to live fulfilling lives.

You will be joining a passionate and supportive team committed to improving outcomes for adults with sensory impairments across Islington. Working alongside social workers, occupational therapists, rehabilitation professionals, and health partners, you will play a key role in helping residents remain independent, connected, and in control of their lives.

The team is focused on delivering high-quality, person-centred services that empower people to achieve their goals and maximise their potential. We pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, professional expertise, and commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring that both residents and staff are supported to thrive.
