About the Role
Join Adopt London North, the Regional Adoption Agency for North London, providing statutory adoption services on behalf of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, and Islington. As an Adoption Social Worker in the Recruitment & Assessment team, you will play a vital role in creating safe, loving adoptive families for children who need permanence. Your responsibilities will include recruiting prospective adopters, preparing and assessing adoptive parents, delivering training, supporting newly approved adopters through the family finding process, and providing ongoing supervision and support as children join their new families.

Staff are encouraged to participate in group work with adopted children, young people, adults, and adoptive parents, as well as in-house therapeutic programmes such as the Great Behaviour Breakdown, BUSS sensory integration approaches, and Foundations for Attachment parenting support.

Experience
We welcome applications from experienced social workers with an understanding of permanency work and the needs of looked after children. Direct adoption experience is not required.
