Grade Sc5/ Sp 12 – 15 + 1 SEN point, £30,767.12 - £32,140.21 pro-rata + £1,334.95 SEN allowance

About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated learning assistant seeking a new challenge and a flexible approach to join a committed team at New River College. You will work alongside professionals to develop the best possible provision and support for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH). The role involves helping pupils improve their reading, writing and numeracy skills, requiring flexibility and a minimum Level 2 standard in English and Maths. Many pupils arrive below national age-related literacy and numeracy levels, so the ability to engage children with SEMH is essential. New River College supports children and young people aged five to sixteen who have been permanently excluded or are part of preventative programmes, including those with complex SEMH or medical needs. Willingness to work across all NRC sites and off site is essential. This is a permanent position with an immediate start.

Experience
Experience working with children or young people with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) is highly desirable. Ability to engage and support pupils in a learning environment is essential.

Qualifications
