As an Apprentice Carpenter within the West Neighbourhood, you will be assigned to a patch within one of our neighbourhood teams, with placement conveniently located to support your travel needs. You will receive training to support the team in delivering a first-class service to our customers by assisting with carpentry repairs and installations.
You will work under instruction and supervision, taking responsibility for your own work within your assessed abilities. This includes carrying out day-to-day repairs, working with wood-based materials and associated products, and assisting with installations and repairs. The apprenticeship is a 2.5-year fixed term contract during which you will undertake a Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship.
Your development will be supported through a structured learning programme, guidance from your manager, mentoring support, and hands-on experience working alongside skilled colleagues. Please note, if you have already completed or partially completed a Level 2 or 3 qualification in Carpentry, Site Carpentry, or Joinery, you are not eligible for this apprenticeship funding.
