NEC Application Analyst

London (Stratford), Manchester (Trafford) with hybrid working - 20% to 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location.

£55,270 per annum (London weighted salary) or £47,920 per annum (Regional salary), dependent on experience
About the Role
Join the Business Applications Team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) as an NEC Application Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a pivotal time as the team delivers a new Target Operating Model alongside the transformation and re-platforming of legacy applications. You will take ownership of the NEC Housing software portfolio, ensuring the system is performant, fully supported, and aligned with business needs. Reporting to the Lead Applications Support Analyst, you will collaborate closely with the IT Service Desk, in-house squads, Product Owners, and suppliers to provide excellent service to residents.
Key responsibilities include providing second-line support for NEC Housing applications, participating in out-of-hours support standby rota, managing third-line incidents with suppliers, monitoring release and upgrade schedules, maintaining contract registers, acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for NEC Housing software, building strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers, owning priority incidents, contributing to service reviews, maintaining the application roadmap, and proactively identifying and resolving potential issues. You will also document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guidance, and translate housing service workflows into system configurations.

Experience
- Proven experience implementing or supporting NEC Housing software within Housing Associations or Local Authorities.
- Strong technical understanding of NEC Housing applications, modules, integrations, and business processes.
- Experience in Applications Management & Support, ideally within a medium-to-large IT organisation.
- Knowledge of ITIL principles; formal Foundation level qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Clear understanding of housing services workflows and ability to translate business requirements into system configurations within NEC Housing software.
