About the Role
Ealing Council is offering four exciting apprenticeship opportunities for enthusiastic and highly motivated residents of Ealing. These apprenticeships provide a valuable chance to gain new skills, knowledge, and behaviours while earning a salary and working within the public sector. As an apprentice, you will be fully supported to achieve your apprenticeship qualification with the potential to progress to higher levels or new roles within the council.
Applicants should have a strong interest in making a difference in the community by working for a local authority that serves a diverse population. To begin an apprenticeship with Ealing Council, candidates must successfully pass four competitive stages, including background and reference checks.

- Corporate Data Analyst Apprentice: Level 4 Data Analyst
- Corporate Business Administrator Apprentice: Level 3 Business Administration
- Libraries Customer Service Apprentice: Level 2 Customer Service
- Corporate Maximising Quality, Reducing Inequalities Apprentice: Level 4 Quality Practitioner
Key dates:
Closing date for CV and supporting statement submission: Tuesday 18 November 2025, 12 noon
Mandatory group screening workshop: Monday 24 November 2025, 9am to 2pm at Perceval House, Ealing Council (attendance is compulsory with no alternative dates)
Interviews begin: Week commencing 8 December 2025
Apprenticeship start date: Late January to early February 2026 (subject to successful pre-employment checks)
Experience
No prior experience is required. Enthusiasm and motivation to learn and contribute are essential.
About you
- You are a resident of the London Borough of Ealing, or have attended a school or college in Ealing, or are a care leaver under Ealing Council authority.
- You have a keen interest in working for the public sector and making a positive impact in your community.
- You are organised, able to manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- You are willing to undergo all stages of the selection process and pre-employment checks.
Please note:
- You must be aged 16 or over unless otherwise stated in the role profile.
- If you are in Year 11, you cannot start until after your last official school day.
- You must hold a British or European passport or have indefinite leave to remain in the UK.
- You cannot apply if you already hold an equivalent level qualification in the same skills area or have previously completed an apprenticeship with Ealing Council.
- Under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, you must disclose any spent or unspent convictions. Some service areas may not consider applications with certain convictions, but many placements can be considered if declared.
- Candidates with Level 3, 4 or higher qualifications (e.g., degrees) will require a suitability check to ensure the apprenticeship will provide new learning.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required to apply, but proof of residency or education within Ealing will be required as part of eligibility checks.
