Permanent, full-time role with Agile Working: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)
Salary
£55,270 to £61,018 per annum (London weighted salary) dependant on experience plus ECU allowance (if policy requirements are met)
About the Role
Join our East and East Anglia team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) as an Area Housing Manager and deliver an excellent service for residents. This permanent role covers Newham and Barking & Dagenham areas (subject to change based on business needs). You will lead the delivery of responsive, efficient, customer-focused tenancy management and tenancy verification services to mixed tenure customers and prospective customers through effective leadership and resource management. Represent and champion L&Q’s values while contributing to the financial strength and customer experience of the Trust.
The successful candidate will be solution focused and a champion of service improvement and customer service. You will demonstrate strong leadership skills with experience in growing and developing teams. You will have a proven track record in innovative service development, business planning, and operational excellence. A comprehensive understanding of tenancy and estate management, including anti-social behaviour and vulnerability, is essential.
Key responsibilities include working collaboratively with internal and external colleagues to ensure effective delivery of tenancy and leasehold management services, including ASB and vulnerability; developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; managing budgets with regard to financial strength; leading a relatively new team to deliver on performance and customer excellence; and providing coaching, mentoring, and ongoing training and support to frontline colleagues.

Experience
- Housing sector experience and knowledge of all aspects of tenancy management and leasehold management including anti-social behaviour, service charges, new build developments, vulnerable residents, and safeguarding.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver a high-quality, effective customer-focused service in a demanding, public-facing environment.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.
- Experience in innovative, solution-focused service delivery with excellent organisational and reporting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Project management skills are desirable.
