About the Role
Our Assessment & Support Hub at Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH) acts as a gateway to internal support services and teams, providing expertise and oversight on all areas of support within our organisation. As an Assessment & Support Specialist, you will manage and respond to a range of concerns, referrals, and casework that come into the Hub. Our goal is to work collaboratively with colleagues to reduce risk and achieve positive outcomes for customers. In addition to advising and coordinating, you may also offer practical case management support to help colleagues build their skills and confidence.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive referrals from across MTVH and conduct initial triage, assessments, and action planning in partnership with colleagues.
- Support colleagues in managing support cases, providing advice, coaching, resources, and practical support.
- Assist in completing referrals to statutory agencies and attending multi-agency meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of all casework.
- Liaise with external agencies to support effective cross-sector working.
- Maintain oversight of support cases to ensure risks are identified and understood.
- Take a holistic view of all casework covering areas such as poverty, safeguarding, and mental health.
- Help colleagues increase their skills and confidence in providing support.

Requirements

Experience
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, presentations, and IT literacy).
- Experience in frontline service delivery in housing, social care, or aligned sectors.
- Experience supporting or coaching colleagues; advising on an area of specialism.
- Experience in specialist areas such as domestic abuse, mental health, or ASB.
- Experience working with multiple agencies to coordinate support for individuals.
- Experience managing complex, emotive, and distressing situations.

About You
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory frameworks related to housing providers.
- Good understanding of housing, care, and local public service delivery landscapes.

Qualifications
- No specific qualifications required, but relevant experience and knowledge are essential.
