This senior leadership role is pivotal in implementing the NHS LPP vision and strategy, driving savings, and developing category strategies for Estates Facilities & Professional Services procurement. The Assistant Director will lead the Estates Facilities & Corporate Services category team, shaping innovative 3-5 year strategies that support NHS LPP members and attract new customers regionally and nationally. The role requires collaboration with internal operational teams and external stakeholders to provide strategic procurement expertise and deliver significant cost and service improvements.

Working within NHS LPP, hosted by Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, the postholder will manage collaborative procurement projects across acute, community, and mental health trusts, as well as other public sector bodies. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a centre of commercial excellence that supports the London NHS economy and beyond.

Requirements

Experience
- Significant and extensive senior procurement experience in public or private sector roles.
- Advanced supplier and contract negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to manage supplier and stakeholder relationships effectively.

About you
- Excellent negotiation and engagement skills with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Strong leadership capabilities to set direction and act as a role model.
- Ability to develop strong customer and stakeholder relationships to deliver best value and compliance.
- Experience utilising risk management approaches to monitor category risks and issues is desirable.

Qualifications
- Essential: MBA, Degree or equivalent qualification, or in-depth senior level experience.
- Desirable: Project Management qualification such as Prince 2 practitioner or equivalent.
