As an Assistant Estimator or Estimator, you will support the delivery of accurate and reliable cost planning and estimating services across infrastructure, transportation, and electricity transmission projects. Working closely with senior and associate cost consultants and project teams, you will contribute to cost analysis, benchmarking, and preparation of cost models, supporting Arcadis’ commitment to sustainable solutions and cost transparency.

Your responsibilities will include assisting in developing detailed and accurate cost plans and estimates for construction activities (civil, mechanical, electrical) within infrastructure and transport projects, supporting the preparation of cost models and cost breakdown structures under guidance, conducting quantity take-offs, engaging with suppliers to evaluate quotations, and maintaining cost and vendor databases. You will also use cost planning and estimating software such as Cost-X and CANDY, as well as data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau, to support analysis and reporting.

Collaboration with strategic sourcing, contract management, and project teams will be key to ensuring accuracy and alignment of cost plans. You will maintain strong attention to detail and support the implementation of Arcadis’ sustainability and carbon reduction strategies in cost planning. Experience
- Minimum 2 years (Assistant level) and 4 years (Estimator) experience in cost planning and estimating within infrastructure, transportation, or electricity transmission sectors.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and project documentation.
- Familiarity with cost estimating software such as CANDY and Cost-X.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools including Power BI and Tableau.
- Good understanding of standard methods of measurement (CESMM 4).

Qualifications
- Degree or working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Eligible for national security vetting (BPSS, SE) depending on project requirements.
- Desirable: Experience with low-code/no-code platforms to automate workflows and support digital transformation.
- Membership or working towards membership of a professional body such as CIOB, RICS, or ICE.
- Experience in project cost planning for regulated companies and familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations is advantageous.
