About the Role

Our Water Management team is seeking a Principal Wastewater Modeller to lead the development of wastewater models and manage key project aspects. You will work closely with clients to build and expand Arcadis’s project portfolio through strategic engagement. Collaboration, proactive problem-solving, and creative thinking are central to our approach and will be fundamental to your role.

Our Water team tackles some of the UK’s most technically demanding projects and AMP8 programmes, partnering with leading water companies and contractors to deliver innovative solutions. Projects focus on flooding challenges, reducing storm overflow pollution, and improving network resilience while ensuring compliance with UK regulatory requirements such as WINEP and adhering to industry best practices.

This role is ideal for a motivated and independent professional seeking career progression while mentoring and developing others. You will take a leadership role in client engagement and management, ensuring technical deliverables meet client expectations and fostering opportunities for continued collaboration and growth.

Experience
- Advanced expertise in hydraulic modelling for wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in model quality assurance procedures
- Skilled in team and stakeholder coordination and management
- Strong report-writing skills
- Experience supporting concept outline and detailed design stages
- Experience in preparing bids including narratives, cost estimates, and programmes
- Proficient in relevant GIS software packages
- Coding experience desirable

Qualifications
- Chartered member of a relevant professional institution (e.g., ICE or CIWEM)
