As a Senior Estimator, you will work within a multidisciplinary estimating team responsible for preparing, reviewing, and assuring detailed electrical and mechanical cost estimates, including indirect costs, allowances, risks, and opportunities. You will lead the development and delivery of robust, accurate, and risk-informed capital cost estimates for complex multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects, focusing on electrical, mechanical, and MEP systems throughout the full project lifecycle—from concept and feasibility through detailed design and delivery—supporting both onshore and offshore programmes.

You will develop and own the estimating strategy and execution plan, coordinate inputs from engineering, commercial, and project controls teams, and ensure estimates comply with Arcadis methodologies, governance, and industry best practices including CESMM4, ICMS2, and ICMS3. Your role includes providing technical leadership during estimate reviews, supporting independent assurance activities, and presenting estimate outcomes and key cost drivers to leadership, project stakeholders, and senior management.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining project Cost Breakdown Structures (CBS) aligned with client Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), leading detailed electrical and mechanical estimates, preparing quantities, cost models, benchmarking analyses, and reports, coordinating multidisciplinary estimating inputs, reviewing contractor quotations, supporting cost assurance and validation, mentoring junior estimators, and supporting business development and client relationships.

Experience
- Significant experience in electrical, mechanical, or MEP estimating.
- Proven track record producing estimates for large and complex capital programmes.
- Strong understanding of CBS and WBS development and integration.
- Working knowledge of CESMM4, ICMS2, and ICMS3 cost classification and estimating methodologies.
- Experience in sectors such as Nuclear, Defence, Energy, Utilities, Transportation, or Buildings.
- Strong understanding of cost planning, risk analysis, and benchmarking techniques.
- Experience reviewing contractor pricing and commercial submissions.
- Proficient in CostX, Candy, Excel, Power BI, benchmarking databases, risk and uncertainty modelling, quantity take-off, cost planning, and cost assurance.
- Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and technical review skills.
