About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Building Safety and CDM Consultant to advance their career within a world-leading architecture, design, and engineering consultancy. This role involves working with a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors including healthcare, residential, education, data centres, industrial, commercial, retail, office, leisure, and custodial.
This new position has been created due to securing a wide range of exciting projects requiring support following recent changes to the Building Regulations and Building Control Regime. The role includes providing Building Regulations Advisory Services and delivering the Building Regulations Principal Designer role.
Arcadis has an established process for supporting clients on Building Safety Act requirements and seeks additional expertise in Building Control. This position is ideal for candidates with several years of Building Control experience interested in applying their expertise in a broader consulting and advisory environment.
Key responsibilities include advising internal design teams and project stakeholders on Building Regulations, assessing designs and inspections for compliance, supporting the Principal Designer role, facilitating workshops, providing technical expertise, and ensuring alignment with current legislation including the Building Safety Act 2022 and Building Regulations 2010 (as amended). The role also involves delivering training sessions, applying quality assurance principles, and staying current with legislative updates and best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience delivering architectural or building control services.
- Several years of Building Control experience in the field.
- Experience delivering the CDM 2015 or Building Regulations Principal Designer role is advantageous but not essential.

Qualifications
- BICoF Class 2F registration (preferred).
- Membership with CABE, RICS, RIBA, CIAT, or CIOB.
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, Building Safety Act 2022, Design and Construction Processes, and design codes.
- Knowledge of CDM 2015.
- Background in architecture, design/engineering, or building control.
