About the Role
The Assistant Manager will support and manage the day-to-day resident experience objectives of the property, leading the team by example to build a vibrant, safe, and welcoming community. This role assists the Community Manager with financial and operational management including leasing, marketing, property maintenance, and tenancy administration. Key responsibilities include acting as a role model by demonstrating core values, proactively engaging with residents to improve service delivery, promoting resident satisfaction and retention, and responding promptly to feedback and complaints.
Additional duties involve supporting team communications and development, monitoring rent payments and arrears, coordinating tenancy management processes such as inspections and evictions, processing vendor invoices, and ensuring compliance with company policies and housing regulations. The Assistant Manager will conduct regular property inspections to maintain safety, cleanliness, and appeal, complete operational and financial reporting, support resident events, and undertake marketing and leasing activities including viewings and follow-ups.
The role also requires maintaining local knowledge relevant to resident needs, staying informed on market and competitor conditions, assisting with seasonal community preparations, supporting health and safety compliance, participating in an on-call emergency roster, and assisting with budget preparation and management accounts.
