About the Role
The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) plays a vital role in protecting the nation from health threats by preventing, preparing for, and responding to infectious diseases and environmental hazards. We are seeking candidates for two key roles within our Project Delivery Profession: Assistant Project Manager and Portfolio Analyst. These roles contribute to delivering major change programmes, health protection projects, technology and infrastructure initiatives, and organisational transformation aligned with UKHSA’s strategic objectives.

Assistant Project Manager responsibilities include leading the day-to-day running of projects of low complexity, overseeing delivery to ensure objectives are met within time, cost, and quality constraints, managing project governance, stakeholder engagement, risk and issue management, benefits realisation, and supporting assurance and change management processes.

Portfolio Analyst responsibilities focus on overseeing a collection of programmes or projects, providing insight and support to strengthen portfolio governance, enabling prioritisation and resource allocation decisions, maintaining portfolio delivery maps, tracking interdependencies and risks, supporting governance boards, and engaging with stakeholders to build commitment to shared objectives.

Both roles are aligned with the Government Project Delivery Capability Framework (PDCF) and offer support towards achieving Government Project Delivery Accreditation if not already held.

These roles may require regular travel between UKHSA sites.
