Location
Hybrid working based at any of UKHSA's Core HQs: Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, London (Canary Wharf). Hybrid model requires a minimum of 60% of contractual hours (approximately 3 days per week) spent at a core HQ.

Salary
£33,422 - £45,353 per year depending on location and grade (Higher Executive Officer level). Salary varies by office location: National, Outer London, Inner London pay scales apply.

About the Role
The Quality Assurance Officer will be a key member of the Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance Team within the Commercial, Vaccines and Countermeasures Delivery (CVCD) Directorate. This directorate is central to UKHSA's mission, managing commercial portfolios, procurement, storage, and distribution of vaccines and countermeasures for national immunisation and emergency response programmes. The role involves supporting regulatory compliance, quality documentation management, quality monitoring, and facilitating communication across teams and stakeholders. You will engage with a wide range of partners from global pharmaceutical suppliers to national distribution providers, working on Quality Management Systems with strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver at pace. The role requires problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Experience
- Educated to Science degree level or relevant equivalent experience.
- Significant experience working in Quality Assurance within the Pharmaceutical or a similar sector.
- Experience in interpreting and trending quality data.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.

Qualifications
- Science degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Desirable: Knowledge of UK/European regulatory frameworks including Good Distribution Practices and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Desirable: Experience with Pharmaceutical Quality Management Systems (PQMS).
- Must be able to obtain Security Check clearance, requiring UK residency for the last 5 years.
