About the Role
Join the Commercial Team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) as an Assistant Project Quantity Surveyor. In this role, you will work closely with Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors to ensure cost control and value for money across our property services operations. You will be responsible for the financial and contractual administration of projects and workstreams, ensuring all quantity surveying duties are performed to the highest standard and that L&Q receives full contractual and monetary entitlement on advantageous terms.

You will take ownership of projects, managing subcontractors and suppliers to achieve best value while protecting the business contractually and providing accurate financial forecasting. You will assist in implementing mitigation strategies related to contracts and subcontracts, supporting operational colleagues to ensure all significant project issues, correspondence, and contractual processes are properly managed.

Requirements

Experience
Previous experience measuring subcontractor accounts and implementing cost control techniques. Experience managing contractor performance and principal/subcontractor arrangements and relationships.

About you
Strong analytical skills with high numeracy and data interrogation abilities. Commercial awareness with good legal and contractual knowledge. Ability to work collaboratively with operational and other colleagues to ensure contractual compliance and project success.

Qualifications
Working toward a Degree or HNC level qualification in a related discipline or possessing equivalent substantial experience.
