As an Associate/Senior Cost Consultant, you will lead the delivery of cost management on rail-related projects, including HS2. You will be responsible for effectively utilizing resources to meet project standards in cost, time, and quality, leveraging your substantial technical knowledge and experience. Your role includes managing client and stakeholder relationships to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for service improvement. Key accountabilities include leading, coaching, and developing team members to enhance cost management service delivery in the rail sector; creating project costings and budgets; managing finances to achieve profit and budgetary targets; leading cost management assignments to meet client expectations; monitoring team performance and ensuring compliance with organizational policies; assuring contract compliance; analyzing complex cost data to support project decision-making; supporting the development of cost and commercial management systems tailored to rail projects; driving innovation to improve services; and building valued relationships with senior clients and stakeholders to foster business opportunities.
Experience
- Relevant professional experience delivering medium to large rail projects across the entire project lifecycle, including HS2
- Extensive experience in cost and commercial management within the rail sector
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop others in cost management roles
