About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Harrow Council’s Public Health team in a newly created role that will have a significant impact on improving health and wellbeing across the borough. As the Behaviour Change and Healthy Weight Lead, you will play a central role in delivering Harrow’s Making Every Contact Count (MECC) Strategy, helping to embed health improvement conversations across council services, health organisations and the voluntary sector. By empowering staff and partners with the knowledge, skills and confidence to support healthier lifestyles, you will contribute to long-term improvements in population health and the reduction of health inequalities.

Alongside this, you will provide professional leadership and oversight for the Child Healthy Weight Programme, supporting quality assurance, programme development and continuous improvement across a diverse network of providers and partners.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate and motivated professional who is committed to behaviour change, prevention and partnership working. You will have the autonomy to shape and influence key public health programmes, align health improvement messaging across the local health and care system and help ensure residents have access to consistent, evidence-based support.
