About the Role
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking passionate and dedicated Early Support Practitioners to join our Early Support Service. You will make a positive difference to the lives of children, young people and families across the borough, working with age ranges from pre-birth through to 25 years. Your role will focus on delivering high-quality early intervention and preventative support to help families build resilience, improve wellbeing and achieve better outcomes. Through individual support, group work, parenting programmes and health and education activities, you will ensure children and young people receive the right support at the right time.
As part of a skilled and supportive multi-disciplinary team, you will work closely with children, young people, parents, carers and partner organisations to identify needs, create opportunities and deliver evidence-based interventions. You will contribute to planning and delivering engaging activities, support families to access services, promote safeguarding and inclusion, and collaborate across Children’s Centres, Youth Services and community settings.
This role requires a proactive and compassionate approach with a strong commitment to helping families overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Depending on grade and responsibility, you may undertake key worker functions, complete Early Support Needs Analyses, lead targeted interventions and support families facing more complex challenges.
These positions are offered on a 2 year fixed-term contract basis. Requirements

Experience
Experience delivering early support services to children, young people and families is desirable. Experience in group work, parenting programmes or multi-disciplinary team settings is advantageous.

Qualifications
- Early years care and education vocational qualification Level 3 or above with commitment to study to Level 4 and above
- Level 2/3 Certificate in Youth Work or equivalent
- Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in early support or related fields
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
