About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Science Technician who will contribute to the delivery of our successful Science Programmes. Coulsdon College is located in the heart of a wonderful community in Old Coulsdon and has undergone a complete rebuild, offering exceptional learning facilities for over 1,100 students and a fantastic working environment for staff. We are looking for a Biology Technician to support the practical and technical aspects of the science curriculum by preparing, providing, maintaining, organising, and managing the resources required for healthy, safe, secure, and exciting practical activities to be carried out by staff and students.

A candidate with suitable experience may be appointed as a Senior Technician, enabling proper administration of science departments and line management of technician colleagues, including training and performance management.

Experience
Experience working as a Biology Technician within a science department is essential. Experience supporting a range of subjects on both A Level and BTEC curriculum is desirable.

You will be a strong team player with a passion for supporting science education. You should be committed to delivering high standards of practical support and resource management in a busy educational environment.

Qualifications
A Level 3 qualification within a relevant subject is required. Strong working knowledge of Biology and a good working knowledge of Chemistry and Physics are essential.
