About the Role

As a Business Consultant specialising in AI, Data Science and Natural Language Processing (NLP), you will play a key pre-sales role by synthesising customer requirements and designing innovative end-to-end solution options to enable deal closure and demonstrate value.

You will work collaboratively within agile Bid Teams alongside other specialists and sales professionals, engaging consultatively with customers to address their specific workflows and challenges. Solutions may involve multiple products, third-party integrations and new capabilities.

Your responsibilities will include bringing deep domain expertise in big data processing, AI, Data Science and NLP to complex customer engagements, developing use cases, coordinating with professional services and partners, running technical presentations and workshops, delivering Proof of Concepts, and owning customer solution proposals and statements of work. You will ensure smooth collaboration with post-sales teams to support implementation and customer success.

Experience
- University degree in Information Technology, Engineering or related field
- Expertise in Data Science with a focus on Natural Language Processing projects
- Practical experience applying programming and scripting languages
- Previous pre-sales experience in software and technical product sales is highly valued
- Good knowledge of product selling cycles and customer engagement
- Understanding of web protocols such as HTTP, XML, and JSON
- Knowledge of the financial industry including buy side, sell side and wealth management
- Experience with financial data feeds and regulatory environments
- Proficiency with Web Service APIs and Websocket APIs
- Ability to program confidently in Python for prototyping and Proof of Concepts
- Working knowledge of NLP libraries in Python, R, Spark or similar data science stacks
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases and data ingestion/munging activities
- Experience with AWS and GCP cloud services for data science workflows
- Knowledge of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
- Broad understanding of Transfer Learning Models and their application to alternative data in finance
- Strong understanding of NLP modelling concepts and ability to implement off-the-shelf models for specific use cases
