This Business Development Representative (BDR) role is part of our wider Sales Business, focusing on generating new business and whitespace pipeline in the UK Public Sector through prospecting outbound opportunities with the ultimate goal of closed won business. You will work in a fast-paced team with varied future customers and receive personalized training and career opportunities.
Sales Development is the foundation of our sales organisation where new business opportunities come to life. Within the BDR role, you will support outbound sales teams by assisting them through strategic prospecting efforts and extensive account research. BDRs consistently make a tangible impact by generating millions of dollars of new business pipeline each year. Additionally, BDRs participate in an intensive sales training program designed to provide fundamental skills necessary for a successful sales career at Salesforce.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Generate new business pipeline primarily through prospecting outbound opportunities
- Manage inbound leads driven by outbound efforts
- Nurture early-stage opportunities
- Gain interest through outbound cold calling across existing Salesforce customers and breaking into net new logos in assigned territory
- Partner with core sellers to identify and source net new pipeline and assist by researching lines of business and personas
- Align with internal account teams and identify key decision makers within new accounts
Experience
- Experience in business development, sales, or related field
- Proven track record of achieving sales metrics and consistent year-over-year quota attainment
- Experience researching, account planning, prospecting, and cold calling into a large list of new and existing accounts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate across different parts of the organisation

- Fluent in English and eligible to work in the UK
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Motivated self-starter with a passion for sales and business development
- Comfortable engaging with multiple stakeholders and decision makers
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on core competencies such as extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, and work experience.
