About the Role

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for developing customer and market-focused own brand product collections that align with the company strategy. You will keep a keen eye on market trends, competition, and forthcoming fashion to ensure our product proposition remains competitive in terms of fashion, price, quality, and availability. This role involves attending relevant shoe fairs and fashion shows to source the most appropriate collections and actively managing supplier relationships by sourcing new vendors and de-listing those that no longer meet business needs. You will continually investigate new product opportunities to optimise sales and maintain a strong brand portfolio.

You will be accountable for delivering company gross profit targets by ensuring collections meet margin expectations and that sales targets are achieved by buying products suited to the brand’s customer profile and current trading conditions. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with the Merchandising Team to address in-season trading issues promptly and with the Marketing function to ensure product ranges are effectively promoted to target consumers. Regular and timely communication of product ranges and developments to Marketing is essential.

Experience
- Previous experience as a Junior Buyer
- Proven success delivering commercial collections achieving budgeted margins
- Previous line management experience
- Established strong supplier relationships

- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
