Salary
£29,941.44 plus an additional 5% shift and weekend working allowance and £2,500 in allowances (total package worth £33,938.51 per annum)

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Carpenter Locksmith to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Pentonville, a Category B male prison. Join a supportive and driven team working Monday to Sunday to create a safe and nurturing environment. HMP Pentonville operates like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of people to keep it functioning smoothly and safely. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the secure operation of the prison, impacting prisoners, employees, visitors, and the wider community.

In this role, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including plumbers, electricians, painters, cleaners, and administrators, all committed to making a positive difference. Experience
- Substantiated experience in a similar role
- Competency in the use and operation of all associated power tools and machinery
- Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office Excel and Word
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements

Qualifications
- City & Guilds, National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Carpentry or equivalent qualification or substantial experience
