About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Painter and Decorator to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Highdown, a category C adult male and YOI prison. You will work alongside a diverse and passionate team including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all committed to creating a safe and secure environment. HMP Highdown operates like a self-contained city, and our team plays a vital role in ensuring its smooth and safe operation, impacting prisoners, employees, visitors, families, and the wider community.

Experience
- Previous painting and decorating experience
- Competency in the use and operation of all associated power tools and machinery
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
- Knowledge of routine preventive maintenance

Qualifications
A City & Guilds, National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 3 in Painting and Decorating or an equivalent qualification, or substantial relevant experience.
