About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor (Plumbing Supervisor) to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Pentonville, a Category B male prison. Join a team that operates Monday to Sunday as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment. HMP Pentonville functions like a self-contained city, requiring hundreds of people to keep it running smoothly. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the prison, impacting prisoners, employees, visitors, and the wider community.
In this role, you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators, all dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment. Experience
- Minimum five years' experience as a plumber or equivalent
- Experience working on commercial or industrial heating, water, or building services systems
- Experience supervising staff
- Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements

Qualifications
- Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and Heating), and NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
- Up to date First Aid at Work qualification (desirable)
- Relevant professional qualifications in facilities management or project management (desirable)
