About the Role
We are seeking a Level 3 qualified Plumber to join our Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Pentonville, a Category B male prison. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of a dedicated and supportive team working Monday to Sunday to maintain a safe and secure environment. HMP Pentonville operates like a self-contained city, and the Facilities Maintenance Team plays a vital role in ensuring its smooth and safe operation, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
You will work alongside experienced colleagues from various trades including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators, all committed to making a positive difference. This role offers the opportunity to use your skills to contribute to rehabilitation and positive change within the prison environment.

Experience
- Minimum two years' experience working as a plumber or in an equivalent role
- Experience working on commercial or industrial heating and water systems
- Familiarity with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
- Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements

Qualifications
- Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and Heating), NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
